Get to know our Employees! | Genevieve Jackson – Dental Tracker

In today’s fast-paced business world, it can be easy to overlook the value of taking the time to get to know your employees. While it may seem like a small detail, understanding our team members on a personal level is a cornerstone of the culture here at Primary Health Network. In this interview, we sat down with Genevieve Jackson. Genevieve Jackson is currently a PHN employee working in our tracking department as a dental tracker. She had the following to say about her experience here at PHN:

Genevieve Jackson’s Story

When I came to the USA 18 years ago, I had a degree in teaching. However, as destiny has a path cut out for each of us that may not align with our plans, my fate led me to healthcare. I enrolled in a business college and mastered the knowledge and skills required to succeed in my new career. As I got closer to acquiring my degree, I wanted to know what was out there and where I would like to work. I looked at several healthcare facilities, and Primary Health Network stood out. New to this country, I had no one around to ask what working at Primary Health Network was like, so I googled, “What is the vision of The Primary Health Network?” As I read their vision and mission, a few things tugged at my heart, and I was determined that this was the place I would want to be a part of.

What does a Vision mean to you?

Firstly, the vision/mission statement says that “it provides primary care and specialty care based on the needs of the people in the area.” This, to me, meant that this company truly cares for the community and provides healthcare based on what the community needs the most. Second, services are provided regardless of age, race, creed, gender, national origin, or financial ability. Being an immigrant in this country, I know how one can sometimes feel alone. This was not just an exclusive but also an inclusive company to work for. An inclusive organization with a good heart and a great vision is where I wanted to be, and that’s where destiny took me.

What advice do you have?

Every new adventure has its victories and challenges, and I have faced them all during my 14-year tenure in this organization. The greatest thing I have learned in these 14 years is to keep my focus on the four-letter word “CARE.” This four-letter word is not only the company’s mission and vision but also my purpose. This word fills my mornings with enthusiasm and zeal, and I leave with a feeling of satisfaction at the end of every working day. I feel enriched, blessed, and proud to be a part of the Primary Health Network. This company is truly the heart of healthcare.

– Thank you, Genevieve, for sharing your story!
