At PHN, our patients are the center of our focus, which is why we are making it easier to connect with our services. Our virtual express care services offer a convenient way to access the immediate care you need.

Virtual Express Care treats those patients 2 years of age and older who are experiencing minor, non-life-threatening conditions such as:

  • Upper respiratory or sinus infections
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Pink eye
  • Skin rashes
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Allergies

Virtual Express Care hours:

  • Monday 8am – 6pm
  • Tuesday 8am – 6pm
  • Wednesday 8am – 6pm
  • Thursday 8am – 6pm
  • Friday 8am – 12pm

Individuals do not have to be established patients; however, they must be physically in the state of Pennsylvania to utilize these services, and most insurance companies participate in or cover this service. If you have a specific question about your insurance or co-pays related to telehealth, we ask that you reach out to your insurance carrier directly.

Please be advised that a parent or legal guardian must consent and be present for a minor’s telehealth appointment.


How does it work?

Step 1: Visit our online appointment request link or call (855) 912-1646 and request an appointment.

Step 2: Fill in the request form and select “Virtual Express Care” as the reason for your visit.

Step 3: We will call and verify your information and send a secure link for your virtual visit.

In an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, telehealth visits are now available for all medical, behavioral, and specialty care services.

Telehealth video or phone visits allow for patients to safely connect to our healthcare services from the comfort of their own home.

How does it work?

Telehealth is a secure and easy way to receive care from our healthcare team using a phone, smartphone (iPhone or Android), tablet or computer.

  • To request a Telehealth visit, contact your preferred Primary Health Network Health Center.
  • A pre-visit registration will be sent to you directly via text message or email one day prior to your appointment. Please be sure to complete the patient pre-visit registration to ensure timely access to your telehealth appointment.
  • Depending on your provider’s preference, you will need access to either a phone, smart phone or a computer. We have provided patient guides on using applications such as Doximity below for your reference.

Assessment and treatment of non-emergency conditions includes:

Dental

Limited Teledentistry services are available for emergency diagnostic purposes during the COVID crisis. Emergencies would include screenings such as:

  • Tooth aches
  • Abscesses

Tips for Telehealth Appointments

  • Find a quiet place with minimal distractions and interruptions.
  • Make sure your phone or computer are fully charged and keep the charger nearby.
  • Make sure your internet connection is working properly and/or that you have good cell phone reception.
  • Let yourself be as open and honest as you normally would during an in-person appointment.
