Now through December 5th, make a difference by donating and ensure that every child has the chance to read, learn, and thrive.
This year marks a special milestone for the Primary Health Network Charitable Foundation (PHNCF)—20 years of service to our communities. As we celebrate two decades of impact, our 2025 Giving Tuesday campaign is centered on a cause that shapes the future of every child: early literacy.

Why Early Literacy Matters
Strong reading skills start early, and those first few years are critical to lifelong success. Early literacy is more than just learning to read; it is about nurturing curiosity, communication, and confidence from the very beginning.
At PHNCF, we are continuing to invest in programs that help families create language-rich environments where children can grow, learn, and thrive.
Our Literacy Initiatives
Reach Out and Read
Through this national program, we integrate literacy into pediatric care by providing books and reading guidance to families during well-child visits. Each book shared during a checkup helps parents build strong reading habits at home.
Little Free Library
Across PHN locations, our Little Free Libraries increase access to books and inspire patients, families, and community members to borrow, share, and enjoy reading together.
Our Impact So Far
- 3,300+ books distributed through Reach Out and Read
- 15,000+ books collected and 13,000+ shared through Little Free Libraries
- 19 Little Free Libraries installed across the areas that PHN serves
Each book represents a story shared, a skill strengthened, and a foundation built for future learning.
